The Real Me by Natalie Grant

Posted by azurahey | 5:45 AM

recovery song written by singer songwriter Natalie Grant as a result of her struggle and recovery from bulimia

CRIME PATROL is a reality series. However the case presentation would be a story telling form that would have the interest of a fiction drama presentation. The prelude and finale to the case would make the case a complete story. Interactions with the analysts on the show would be treated with the audience interest point of view keeping it only as much as essential to the story telling. Going beyond the drama of police action in a crime situation, the show also aims to look into the "why" behind a crime. Police action on one hand gives the show the edge of how the law keepers bring the culprits to book or stop a crime from being committed. On the other hand, the show will also be looking at the sociological aspect behind a crime- both from the victim as well as the criminal's side. The cases would be driven by cameras moving along with the police force from the time a crime is reported or when the police receive a call till the point the case is brought to a logical conclusion in the police records for further movement in the court of law. As such the police force is deemed to be the law keeper and not the justice authority.

This was recorded by my mother around 1999/2000; I'm glad she had the blank tape ready to go in the recorder when the show "Miracle Pets" came on. If anyone knows the current situation of these two friends, please post, we're all curious. You might notice at 2:16 she dials the typical "555" number but then the scene switches to the front of the vet clinic. Marny Kennedy - It's My Life

Posted by azurahey | 2:16 PM

Marny Kennedy singing It's My Life from the closing credits of episode 3x22 Desk Jockey of The Saddle Club series 3. Lyrics are in the CD cover.

I sat down last year with Academy award nominee actor Edward Norton, director John Curran and screenwriter Ron Nyswaner (academy award winner for the screenplay Philadelphia) to discuss their new film with Warner Independent Pictures, The Painted Veil. We discuss the illusions and delusions of love, the challenges of shooting in China as a western film production company, and the adaptation of the screenplay from W. Somerset Maugham's classic book from the 1920's. This is the first co-production that I know of where Chinese and American film crews worked together on a medium budget ($34 million USD) independent film, and both films were released simultaneously in the US and China in their own respective languages. This is probably one of my favorite interviews of all time, Edward Norton, Ron Nyswaner and John Curran were all very easygoing people to talk with. About the Film: Based on the classic novel by W. Somerset Maugham, The Painted Veil is a love story set in the 1920s that tells the tale of a young English couple, Walter Fane, a middle class doctor and Kitty, an upper-class woman, who get married for the wrong reasons and relocate to Shanghai, where she falls in love with someone else. When he uncovers her infidelity, in an act of vengeance, he accepts a job in a remote village in China ravaged by a deadly epidemic, and takes her along. Their journey brings meaning to their relationship and gives them purpose in one of the most remote and beautiful places on earth ...

like us on facebook www.facebook.com A new book by an economics professor at the University of Texas-Austin reveals what the world of advertising has known for decades - that beauty sells. But Daniel S Hamermesh also shows that being attractive pays - with good looking employees enjoying more perks and higher pay packets than their plainer colleagues. Professor Hamermesh has studied what he refers to as the economics of beauty for about 20 years. In his book Beauty Pays, published by Princeton University Press, he claims good looking people enjoyed perks beyond their pay - such as party invites, business travel and office privileges - while less attractive workers are overlooked and can often be victims of discrimination. Attractive people are more likely to be happier, earn more money, get a bank loan (with a lower interest rate) and marry equally good looking partners. As a result, attractive employees are more productive, leading to higher sales and potentially higher profit for themselves or the company they work for. Less cut and dried is what constitutes attractiveness. Far from being merely in the eye of the beholder, Professor Hamermesh points to a few subconscious factors - such as the symmetry of the face, facial expression and popularity factors (if the person looks like someone popular or famous). In his book, Professor Hamermesh estimated that attractive people earned on average about £145000 more in a lifetime than those with below-average looks. A beautiful ...

Introduction - Vox-pops from the case studies. Dr. Mosarah Ali, an integrated practitioner describes what a Migraine is and how it can be identified. Later on in the programme he explains how one can be caused by the displacement of the vertebrae as well as the other triggers: stress, sleep disturbances, over-exertion or geopathic stress (overhead cables etc). He is also the final practitioner. Case Study 1 - Karen had stress / hereditary migraines since she was 18. Case Study 2 - Claire's migraines began to get really bad when she was young. Case Study 3 - Our third case study, Libby, wasn't sure whether the terrible pains in her head were migraines Case Study 4 - Holistic treatment.

Amidst the smog and blaring horns of Mumbai, 9 year old Wahid sells books to support his family. Unable to read, yet dreaming of becoming a doctor, his story paints a moving picture of India today. Recommending and selling foreign books while dexterously evading the frantic pace of Mumbais traffic ensures that a Mobile Bookseller is probably the most dangerous paper-route in the world. Yet Wahid's character shines through the hustle and bustle; an admirer of Obama, Wahid: wants to do good for everyone and become a doctor for villagers normally given fake medicines. A man whose life inspires his friend Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee Amitabh Bachchan to write a book that wins the coveted Sarasati Award.A terminally ill cancer patient Anand walks into Dr Bannerjees life just when he is about to sink into cynicism. Anands selfless boisterous humerous non stop chatter changes everyone around him. His attempts to get the tongue tied Dr. Bhaskar to admit his love for Renu the schoolteacher. His refusal to stay in bed and be treated like a patient. His metaphorical search for Murarilal his so called long lost friend his total commitment to live for others and not wallow in self pity. These are very sensitively brought out by one of Indias finest directors of Hindi cinema Hrishikesh Mukherjee. He teams up with Gulzar as lyricist and dialogue writer to give us some of the best lines in Hindi cinema and some hauntingly lovely songs. It plays on your heartstringa but in the end you will agree Anand lives.

Charlie Daniels Band - Simple Man I ain't nothin' but a simple man They call me a redneck I reckon that I am But there's things going on That make me mad down to the core. I have to work like a dog to make ends meet There's crooked politicians and crime in the street And I'm madder'n hell and I ain't gonna take it no more. We tell our kids to just say no Then some panty waist judge lets a drug dealer go Slaps him on the wrist and then he turns him back out on the town. Now if I had my way with people sellin' dope I'd take a big tall tree and a short piece of rope I'd hang 'em up high and let 'em swing 'til the sun goes down Well, you know what's wrong with the world today People done gone and put their Bible's away They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land The good book says it so I know it's the truth An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth You better watch where you go and remember where you been That's the way I see it I'm a Simple Man. Now I'm the kinda man that'd not harm a mouse But if I catch somebody breakin in my house I've got twelve guage shotgun waiting on the other side So don't go pushing me against my will I don't want to have to fight you but I dern sure will So if you don't want trouble then you'd better just pass me on by As far as I'm concerned there ain't no excuse For the raping and the killing and the child abuse And I've got a way to put an end to all that mess Just take them rascals out in the swamp Put 'em on their knees ...

Palin, a vocal opponent of Wikileaks' release of communications made by US diplomats, said in an email to ABC News that her credit card information and website were attacked by a group of hackers in London. The group, she said, was affiliated with 'Operation Payback', and had also targeted her husband's credit card. The Palin site remains offline as of Thursday morning. The attacks come only a week after Palin, widely tipped as a Republican candidate for US president in 2012, said the Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange, should be hunted down in the way armed forces target the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.In an outburst on Facebook, Palin had branded Assange "an anti-American operative with blood on his hands".After the attack on her site, Palin wrote "This is what happens when you exercise the First Amendment and speak against his [Assange's] sick, un-American espionage efforts." www.infowars.com Palpable Anger: Excerpts from Bugliosi's 'The Prosecution of George W. Bush' Raw Story | May 27, 2008 My anger over the war in Iraq, some will say, is palpable. If I sound too angry for some, what should I be greatly angry about — that a referee gave what I thought was a bad call to my hometown football, basketball, or baseball team, and it may have cost them the game? I don't think so. Virtually all of us cling desperately to life, either because of our love of life and/ or our fear of death. I'm told there is a passage in a novel by Dostoyevsky in which a character in the story exclaims, "If I were condemned to live on a rock, chained to a rock in the lashing sea, and all around me were ice and gales and storm, I would still want to live. Oh God, just to live, live, live!" So nothing is as important in life as life and death. We fear and loathe the thought of our own death, even if it's a peaceful one after we've outlived the normal longevity. We fear not only the loss of our own lives, but the lives of our parents and sisters and brothers, as well as our relatives and close friends. We don't think of our children too much in this regard because our children, in the normal scheme of things, are supposed to outlive us. When they die before us, the already hideous nature of death becomes unbearable. And that's when they die a normal and peaceful death from illness. If the death is from an accident, like a car collision, the death of the child, if possible ...

www.wearechangechicago.com CHICAGO IL On Tuesday, November 24th 2009, We Are Change Chicago attended a book signing with former vice president Al Gore, at the Borders Bookstore on 150 N. State Street. The previous Thursday, news had begun to circulate that hacked documents and communications from the University of East Anglias Hadley Climate Research Unit (CRU) had been published to the internet. The information revealed how top scientists conspired to falsify data in the face of declining global temperatures in order to prop up the premise that man-made factors are driving climate change. Please review ClimateGate for Dummies. To ensure the public that the media and Al Gore are aware of the facts that prove global warming to be a hoax, patriots from WAC Chicago marched to the book signing. Scattered throughout a crowd of a few hundred were members of WAC Chicago ready to ask Al Gore what he thought about ClimateGate. First up was Saad Ali. As he approached Gore, he peacefully and respectably asked, Sir, can you comment on the emails and documents that were hacked [ClimateGate] that reveal that the research was a fraud and that it was all manipulated? Gore, with an evil smirk, claimed that he never read them. By the look on his face and his stutter, it became quite clear that Gore was extremely uncomfortable with the question, so he quickly glared towards his security. The agents grabbed and assaulted Saad, escorting him away from Gore for merely asking a simple question ...

Comic books, not rock-and-roll, created the generation gap. Long before Elvis appeared on Ed Sullivan from the waist up, long before Jerry Lee Lewis married his cousin, long before James Dean yelled "you're tearing me apart," teachers, politicians, priests and parents were lining up across from comic book publishers, writers, artists, and children at bonfires and Senate hearings decrying the evil that was The Ten-Cent Plague. More than 150 years ago in upstate New York, twenty-five-year-old Marietta Davis had stubbornly resisted the winds of revival that were blowing through her town. That is until seven months later, when she fell into a trance and was shown the beauties of heaven and the horrors of hell. The experience transformed the remainder of the young woman's life and sobered all who heard her story. Seven months after the vision - at the time and in the manner she had predicted - Marietta died. But before her homegoing, she wrote a vivid portrayal of her experience that remained in print one hundred years after her death. Now her story is available for a new generation of readers. The nineteenth-century language of the original edition has been updated for readability, but the detailed depiction of her vision remains untouched. Journey with Marietta to the shimmering reaches of paradise, where the redeemed enjoy the beauties of the new creation. Observe children who died on earth as they are taught the mysteries of God in infants' heaven. Grieve at the plight of the lost as they suffer their tortures of hell and the wages of their sin. Marietta Davis fell into a trance at age twenty-five that lasted nine days. She experienced a vision that made her a legend. When she finally regained consciousness she described with extraordinary graphic detail scenes of how angels had conducted her spirit to heaven and hell. Marietta made it clear that her vision was given for her to tell the world so ...

Magnesium Chloride

Posted by azurahey | 8:45 AM

Magnesium is vitally important and needs to be taken on a daily basis; everybody should take it, because food today is low in magnesium. The reason for that is very simple: plants need very much magnesium to breath. Their chlorophyllic mechanism is fixation of carbonic gas and elimination of oxygen, which is the opposite of what we do. We do this through a mineral, iron is used for the breathing mechanism of red cells. In plants this is done by chlorophyll whose structure is basically magnesium. What happens is that the chemical fertiliser used today is the NPK, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Magnesium in not being replaced in the soil, and in the past, when cities were all made up of houses with septic tanks, the magnesium we eliminated through feces went back to the phreatic zone. However, today everything goes into the rivers and sea, resulting in an increasingly low rate of magnesium in the soil. The two most important functions of magnesium are: it regulates the metabolism of calcium in the body, it fixates the calcium where it should be and eliminates the calcium where it should not be. Therefore, spinal calcifications, joint, artery calcifications happen due to this lack of magnesium. Kidney calcifications, calcium oxalate kidney stones is due to a lack of magnesium. It is enough to give patients magnesium to dissolve kidney stones, provided they are not urate and phosphate ones. if they are calcium oxalate stones then they are due to lack of magnesium ...

David ray griffion debunks the 9/11 debunking Following the September 11, 2001 attacks, David Ray Griffin moved his focus from questions of philosophy and religion to ones of politics and history, specifically "American expansionism and imperialism". He intended to write a book on the subject, presenting 9/11 in terms of "blowback" for aggressive United States foreign policies of the 20th century: "Until the spring of 2003, I had not looked at any of the evidence. I was vaguely aware there were people, at least on the internet, who were offering evidence against the official account of 9/11... I knew the US government had 'fabricated' evidence to go to war several times before. Neverless... I did not take this possibility seriously... I was so confident that they must be wrong." [3] After reading the work of Paul Thompson and Nafeez Ahmed, he became convinced that there was a prima facie case for the contention that there must have been complicity from individuals within the United States, and joined the 9/11 Truth Movement in calling for an extensive investigation from the United States media, Congress and the 9/11 Commission. At this time, he set about writing his first book on the subject, which he called The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11 (2004).[4] Part One of the book looks at the events of 9/11, discussing each flight in turn and also the behaviour of President George W. Bush and his Secret Service protection. Part Two ...

Dave accepted to be a guest for The Drum Brother project sharing his experience and giving us a lesson from the Universal Rhythms book... DOWNLOAD THE PDF: www.megaupload.com www.facebook.com Dave DiCenso is a Boston-area drummer whose musicality and versatility has earned him a diverse list of playing credits. He also happens to be a drummer who can teach and has maintained a thriving practice throughout his playing career. Despite his success as a journeyman, of late Dave has mostly kept his sideman hat on the hook to spend more time with his family, put more of what he teaches to paper, and begin in earnest to scratch a long-standing itch to compose. As a child, Dave could be found playing his dad's 60's Slingerlands along with his favorite 45's and albums in the basement of his parents' suburban home. By the age of four, he was asking his dad, Dick DiCenso - a renowned teacher in the Boston area for more than fifty years now - for drum lessons. After holding him off for a year his dad gave him his first lesson. As it turned out, however, Dave proved to be a less-than-ideal student, frequently opting to play along with his Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and Kiss records instead of practicing his lessons. Despite his dad's expert tutelage and patience, Dave gave up on lessons after a few years and migrated toward another of his fascinations, guitar. Eventually of course, it came time to choose a career path and, well, we know which one he took... With a desire to learn more ...

Brain, bodily awareness, and the emergence of a conscious self: these entities and their relations are explored by Germanphilosopher and cognitive scientist Metzinger. Extensively working with neuroscientists he has come to the conclusion that, in fact, there is no such thing as a "self" -- that a "self" is simply the content of a model created by our brain - part of a virtual reality we create for ourselves. But if the self is not "real," he asks, why and how did it evolve? How does the brain construct the self? In a series of fascinating virtual reality experiments, Metzinger and his colleagues have attempted to create so-called "out-of-body experiences" in the lab, in order to explore these questions. As a philosopher, he offers a discussion of many of the latest results in robotics, neuroscience, dream and meditation research, and argues that the brain is much more powerful than we have ever imagined. He shows us, for example, that we now have the first machines that have developed an inner image of their own body -- and actually use this model to create intelligent behavior. In addition, studies exploring the connections between phantom limbs and the brain have shown us that even people born without arms or legs sometimes experience a sensation that they do in fact have limbs that are not there. Experiments like the "rubber-hand illusion" demonstrate how we can experience a fake hand as part of our self and even feel a sensation of touch on the phantom hand form the ...

About 15 years ago, Grant McCracken went to a shopping mall to interview teenagers about their identities. He found that the old rigid categories of "preppie," "jock," and "nerd," had given way to a much longer list: There were surfer/skater guys, b-girls, goths, punks, heavy-metal rockers, and many other types of kids wandering around. In books such as Plenitude, McCracken catalogued the explosion of new lifestyles and identities in North America and the developed world more generally. In his most recent volume, last year's Chief Culture Office, McCracken argues that an understanding of how consumers play with their identities is key to making products that people want. His next book, Culturematic, will be published next year and examines how people create self-replicating cultural experiments that producers and audiences either dig or reject. One example: MTV's invention of reality television in 1992, just as the station's old programming model was beginning to flag. Out of a moment of desperation grew today's dominant form of serial TV. Trained in anthropology, the Canadian-born McCracken is a research affiliate at Convergence Culture Consortium at MIT and a brand consultant; his blog covers everything from arcane academic research to Gossip Girl plot threads. Reason.tv's Nick Gillespie sat down with McCracken to talk about the throughline that exists in all of his work. Edited by Jim Epstein; camera by Epstein and Anthony Fisher. Approximately 8 minutes.
